Rio De Janeiro Brazil Tourist Attractions – The cultural aspects in this huge city include theatres, museums, music, art and history. There is a big party thrown every year for the residents an well as visitors that come from all over the world. It is called the “Carnaval” which starts the Friday before Ash Wednesday and is known around the world for its samba dancers and bright colourful costumes. It is a great time for all with singing, dancing and a lot of fun. There is a huge parade and lots of artists, crafts and food.

Take in the two beaches of Copacabana (the most famous beach in the world and there is also surfing there too so if you have a board you will want to try it, if not you can rent one.) and Ipanema beach is very nice also. Sugar Loaf is the tram ride to see the granite dome. You can get some excellent pictures of the area and see it from the sky view. This is something you might want to do in the beginning of your trip to get an idea of the landscape of the area.

The most famous beach in the world is called Copacabana. This beach is famous for the beautiful waters and the soft sand. There is plenty to do on the beach and lots of restaurants, shopping and nightlife. This is the place to be. Bring along your surfboard if you have one.

Corcovado is 2230 feet high and has the statute of the Christ Redeemer at the top. It is an excellent view of the area and when you see the Statute it is an awesome sight to behold. This is a must see for tourists visiting the Rio de Janeiro area.

Botanical Gardens

The Botanical Gardens offers some very pleasing sights to the eyes. The Botanical Gradens has 141 acres of beautiful Brazilian plant life. The colors and aromas that will surround you are just fantastic. You will want to spend a few hours going through the gardens. There are diners too for when you get hungry.
